What is Editly?
Editly is an AI-powered photo and face editor for iPhone and iPad. It includes 46 professional tools across 9 categories: Face reshaping, Body sculpting, Beauty retouching, Virtual makeup, Hair color, Professional tools, Effects, AI features, and Export. All face and body AI processing happens on-device for complete privacy.
Is Editly free to use?
Editly has a free tier that includes basic editing tools: 12+ filters, 11 adjustments, crop & rotate, brush tools, text & stickers, and layers with 16 blend modes. For AI-powered face, body, beauty, makeup, and hair tools, you'll need a Premium subscription. For cloud AI features like background generation and age change, a Pro subscription is required.
Which devices are supported?
Editly is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17.0 or later. The app is optimized for all screen sizes with 1.3x scaling on iPad. It supports both portrait and landscape orientations.

Subscription & Pricing
What are the subscription options?
Editly offers three tiers:
- Free: Basic tools (filters, adjustments, crop, brush, text, stickers, layers)
- Premium: $1.99/week, $4.99/month, or $29.99/year — includes Face, Body, Beauty, Makeup, Hair, and Effects tools
- Pro: $9.99/month, $59.99/year, or $99.99 lifetime — includes everything plus cloud AI features
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to iPhone/iPad Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Editly > Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
What happens when my subscription expires?
If your subscription expires, you'll still have access to free-tier tools (filters, adjustments, crop, brush, text, stickers, layers). Premium and Pro features will be locked. Your previously exported photos remain on your device. You can re-subscribe at any time.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID to request a refund.
How do I restore my purchases?
If your premium features aren't showing, go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Features & Editing
How does face reshaping work?
Editly uses Apple Vision AI to detect 68 facial landmarks on your face. It then creates a triangulated mesh and uses a Metal GPU compute shader to warp the image in real-time as you adjust sliders. You can reshape your jawline, cheekbones, nose, eyes, lips, forehead, and chin with precise control.
Is my face data stored or uploaded?
No. All face detection, landmark analysis, and mesh warping happens 100% on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No face data is ever uploaded to any server.
Can I undo my edits?
Yes. Editly has a complete undo/redo system. You can step back through your entire edit history at any time. Your original photo is always preserved — we never modify your original images.
What export formats are supported?
You can export in JPEG, PNG, or HEIC formats with adjustable quality settings. Free users export with a watermark; Premium and Pro users export without watermark at full resolution.
Privacy & Security
Are my photos uploaded to your servers?
No. All photo editing, face detection, body pose analysis, and beauty processing happens locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers. Only cloud AI features (like background generation) send data to secure processing servers, and this is clearly indicated in the app.
What data do you collect?
We collect minimal data: your email and name for account creation, and anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. We do not collect, access, or store your photos or face data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app > Account > Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers.
